    I’ve been on the search for some rare candy lately and haven’t been having much luck. The candy I have been searching for lately is the Japanese candy called Konpeito. It is a type of rock candy that looks like confetti. I had first saw it in the movie Spirited Away but I didn’t know what it was until I found it at a Asian market near downtown Denver back in college.

    If anyone knows of a location near or around the city of denver where I can buy konpeito please let me know. I really want some.

    Are there any rare candy’s that you can’t find in your location? What are they? Is it a candy from your childhood or something you saw in a movie? Please let me know and I will try and help you locate and/or identify what it was.

    i to have been looking for this becouse its amazing… i found it on the web but its about $20.00 for one bag becouse its direct from japan. :(

    Twenty Dollars??? Geez, I like candy but not that much :) I might pay five or maybe up to eight.

    @U-Turn drove me to an Asian market today and they said they will have Konpeito in tomorrow.

    Here is another one that is almost Impossible to find without paying an arm and a leg. Kinder Surprise! I had the privilege of eating some of these back in high school but you can’t ever find them in stores.

    Their commercial on the other hand is beyond messed up…

    Another rare candy that I have been unable to locate locally is the chocolate egg containing a gummy dinosaur. When I was very very young I remember eating one of these and I have never forgotten it. It looks like jelly belly makes the candy now but I still can’t seem to find it in any of the candy stores. Shopping for these puppies online is not very cost effective.
