Scott Pilgrim vs. Six Volumes You Should Have Read

I figure that I should start writing/posting junk on here.
Scott Pilgrim- a graphic novel by Bryan Lee O’Malley- is a nifty little 6 volume graphic novel. It draws inspiration heavily from video games and pop culture. Let me spout out the games it reference: Chrono Trigger, River City Ransom, Space Channel 5, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros. 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, Dragon Warrior. Just to name a small, small fraction. Hell, even the title is based on an almost unknown Canadian girl band (Youtube it, son!) Some have even likened it to our generation’s true love story. If you don’t know what this novel is about, Scott Pilgrim (hero) falls for Ramona Flowers (heroine) and to dater her, he has to fight her seven evil ex-boyfriends.
There’s some sorta movie coming out in less than a month, heavily based on the comics. Who directed it? Edgar Wright. Who is that? You don’t belong here if you don’t know. Apparently, it’s starring Michael Cera, which has the pretentious movie going critics all sorts of butt hurt.
SO WHAT I AM SAYING is read the comics before you go see the movie. They’ll put you back about $12 an issue, but luckily there’s only six and they are worth owning. If I had to rate this with donkeys, this comic series gets 5 of 5 donkeys.

I have been trying to find a new series to read now that I have finished The Maxx. This one WILL definitely be it. They are making this into a movie with Michael Cera? Thats just awesome! I also just looked it up and found out the movie is going to be called Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
BTW Great first post. The 5/5 donkeys had me ROFLMAO! Keep it up!
I read the First Book it was awesome! I cant wait to read the rest of them. The Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie just came out and I can’t wait to see it.
Bought the first book it was huge. I love the part when the first ex turns into coins when Scott Pilgrim finishes him off. Just like in popular rpg’s we nerds know and love. That was just hilarious.
I saw the movie opening day. It was overly worth watching, especially if you are a fan of either or both the comic and Edgar Wright.
Screw critics and pretentious Cera-haters.
